A Primer on Sound Waves and the Human Brain
Johns Hopkins Medicine said, “If you want to firm up your body, head to the gym. If you want to exercise your brain, listen to music.” Luckily at Framework, you can do both.

By combining healing sounds, music, and therapeutic instruments, sound healing has been shown to alleviate symptoms of various conditions, including anxiety, PTSD, dementia, cancer, and more.
Through techniques like “binaural beats” and “brain entrainment,” sound healing can alter brainwave states, promoting deeper relaxation and balance. But it’s versatile and can be applied on and off the body. Instruments like crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, monochords, and tuning forks can be played around the body to create a soothing sound environment. Sound healing sometimes includes vocal sounds and tones, enhancing the body’s receptiveness to healing vibrations.
That’s exactly why we’re working with sound design studio Father and others to integrate custom sound healing into the entire experience at our new Flagship sauna and cold plunge studio.

Pain moderation: Vibroacoustic therapy is a revolutionary tool in the field of multidisciplinary management of chronic pain. Studies of its effects resulted in the reduction of Arthritis activity from severe to moderate—and an increase in the strength of the muscular system, which can lead to reduced pain and improved range of motion in patients after surgeries.
Enhanced spiritual wellbeing: Sound promotes a sense of calm, inner peace, and connectedness, helping to foster overall emotional balance and well-being.
